Youth Services
Baptism
Baptism is the first step in a child’s path toward God. Parents are encouraged with meet with the pastor to learn more about Baptism and how Vernon can be a part of their child’s faith formation.
Sunday School
HIS KIDZ meets from 10:15 to 10:45am during the school year and is open to pre-K through 6th graders. For this hour, students engage and learn together with older students. The class is started with a short gathering in the church with the pastor before entering the classroom for fun and fellowship.
Third Grade Bibles
Upon entering third grade, a parent and student lunch and workshop is held to allow the child to become more acquainted with the Bible. The Sunday following the workshop, students are presented with a Bible which they are encouraged to bring along to Sunday School and Church.
Lifelong Faith Formation
Guiding our youth in faith is a collaborative effort, which is why Vernon is committed to partnering with parents in their children’s faith formation. If you’re in need of a form for an upcoming field trip, photo permission or other reason – find it on our Contact page.
Holy Communion
Vernon often has a Communion Workshop Festival headed by the pastor. This event is an opportunity for parents and students to learn more about this sacrament and decide when parents might want their child to begin taking communion.
Junior High Lite
This class is an opportunity for junior high school students to attend a Sunday morning class of faith and fellowship, held from 9:15 to 10:00am during the school year.
Senior High Thrive
Similar to Junior High Lite, this class is designed for high school students to continue their journey in faith and fellowship. Senior High Thrive is also held from 9:15 to 10:00am during the school year.
NO SUNDAY EDUCATION CLASSES ON: 2019 February 17
Affirmation of Baptism and Confirmation Classes
