Trust Endowment

One of the standing committees here at Vernon Lutheran is the Trust Committee. Trust receives, preserves, and allocates funds, bequests, memorials, and other gifts. Trust usually uses the gifts for special projects as opposed to the daily operations of the church.

Due to some large bequests this year Trust has been able to invest in the ELCA Mission Endowment Fund. The purpose is to grow assets so that every dollar given supports a permanent endowment, while the interest funds the activities and mission of Vernon.

Trust is also charged with providing education to the congregation about the benefits of these gifts to the individual as well as the church.

The members of the Trust Committee here at Vernon Lutheran are Don Halt, Marilyn Ottum, Ruth Peters, Judi Schlitt, chairman Bob Sockrider, and member emeritus Marion Hollinger.
