The 2016 season we have made 176 quilts. Since 2000 we have made 2,770 quilts. Many quilters have come and gone, but they will always be our quilter girls. The hours of cutting squares of material. The time of sewing those squares together. The time of putting squares together with a filler and a back to make beautiful quilts. This has been a great year so far. To spread our warm hearts, we are sending them with Bruce and Cheryl. We are eager to get back to work.
Thank you for the materials you have brought for us to use. Someone told me the way she helps with quilting is to ask other people for materials we need. It’s working! We find sheets, blankets, draperies, mattress pads and fabrics. We like the idea of recycling these materials into quilts to keep someone warm.
There are many ways to help on our quilting days, the second and fourth Tuesdays. Join the fun—we’ll show you what we want you to do. Come when you can, leave when you must.
We make quilts. It’s our mission. We make them colorful. We make them warm. We make them with care. We make them with LOVE.
