Patanumbe

Mission of the Month

Sunday August 21, 2016

Our Mission of the Month for August is Patanumbe parish, located in Tanzania, Africa. Vernon has been partners with Patanumbe since 1999. Since then members of Vernon have visited over six times. Visits with Pastor Pallangyo have deepened the brotherhood of ministry between us.
One way we help support their ministry is through prayer and financial support. We will be celebrating that relationship with Patanumbe, the coffee project, the goat project and the Meru diocese on Sunday Aug 21. Worship that Sunday will include African music, information regarding the progress of ministry in Patanumbe and the six sub parishes, noisy offering, the traditional auction following worship, and words from Pastor Pallangyo that he would like to share with us.

There will also be a collection of aluminum, traditionally called “Cans for Tanzania.” Start collecting Aluminum Cans. We will have a truck here on Sunday August 21.

For those of you, who are not familiar with the worship traditions at Patanumbe, look forward to more information on our web page as well as in our bulletin. We will also be updating you with projects we would like to help support them with.

Asante Sana, Thank You.
