This fall, the adult study will be centered around the movie and book “The Shack”. The book was very popular when it was published 10 years ago and the movie was released this spring. Adults and the youth will be enjoying
the movie together on Friday evening October 20 at 7pm in the sanctuary.
Invite family and friends to join us we watch this amazing film on Vernon’s Silver Screen. Popcorn and fellowship are free.
I was fortunate to be able to hear the author of “The Shack”, William Paul Young, speak at a conference I attended in April and have a video of him passionately sharing his life and faith. He is dynamic and hearing him “in person” will greatly enhance your understanding of both the movie and book. So, our first class will be between services at 9:15, October 15. This will be a great introduction to the Friday night movie on the 20th. All are welcome to this Sunday morning feature. Everyone interested in exploring the themes and messages in the movie/book are encouraged to join the adult Sunday morning classes.
It would be most helpful to read “The Shack” before watching the movie and the book will enable us to use it as a reference during class discussions.
This is a suggestion, not a requirement.
